This block-off plate (also known as the pikey 600) fits into your stock air inlet duct to better direct cool, ambient air into the airbox and eliminate any hot air coming from the inlet duct's engine bay inlet passage.
Simply put, this Genuine MQB Air Scoop Trim plate blocks the air flow from the front scoop to the left side of the engine and then re-directs more air flow into the Air Filter (right-side).
